Identification & Analysis of Lcal Deprivation & Poverty Pockets in Crete. Current Situation Report - Prioritization - Research Planning

he report records the progress of the Observatory's implementation, in particular in relation to the objectives a) of monitoring and updating / reviewing the PESKE and b) of feeding the EAGG of the National Mechanism (Chapter 2), then an overview of international experience and current implementation in Greece of measurement efforts and methods of recording and spatial mapping of local deprivation (Chapter 3). Chapters 4 and 5 present the proposed dimensions of deprivation and the proposed indicators for the Region of Crete, Chapters 6 and 7 analyze the spatial dimension of the data, make an indicative mapping of selected indicators and suggest ways of interconnecting the cartographic platform with the index Crete-GIS geospatial database (Chapter 8). Finally, Chapter 9 presents indicative ways of extracting connecting data and presenting conclusions for use in the processes of locating pockets of local deprivation and highlighting local needs and challenges.
