The amendment of the Greek Constitution. Crisis in institutions and democracy.

The article attempts to present, through a series of research findings, the increasing distancing  of citizens from the procedures of representation and the general of trust of the Greeks in institutions such as political parties, politicians, the national and the European parliament. The research data imprint a progressive crisis of the political sysystem. Taking into account the forthcoming amendment of the Greek Constitution, some reforms, which could contribute  to the improvement of the functioning of the governmental system, the restoration of the political system in the eyes of the citizens and the reduction of the distance in citizen-policy relations, are proposed.
