The forthcoming amendment of the Greek Constitution as a contribution to face the lack of trust in the political system

The article attempts to demonstrate, through the findings of a series of surveys, the growing distance of citizens from the representation processes and the general lack of trust of Greek citizens in institutions such as, for example, politicians, parties, and the national and European Parliament. Survey data imply a growing crisis in the political system. In the run-up to the forthcoming constitutional revision, reforms are proposed that could help improve the functioning of the government, restore the political system to the eyes of citizens and reduce the distance in civil-political relations.
