The institutional framework of migration at supranational, national and local level, with empasis on integration issues

This research report outlines the main lines of the institutional framework governing migration at three interconnected levels, i.e. the European one, through the existing provisions of primary and secondary EU law, the national one, through the diachronic presentation of Greek legislation on immigration, and the local one, through the provision of the institution of the "Migrant Integration Councils" foreseen by Law 3852/2010 as an essential step for the integration of immigrants in local communities.
