The European Social Policy Analysis Network (ESPAN) is an evolution of the European Social Policy Network (ESPN) and aims to provide scientifically supported analysis of policies and developments in the areas of social protection and inclusion at both national and European levels. Specifically, this network includes teams of independent experts from 38 European countries (27 EU member states, as well as candidate countries and EEA countries), with the ultimate goal of scientifically supporting the development of social policy initiatives at the European level and facilitating the exchange of knowledge and best practices among EU member states.
In this context, the work of the EKKE research team, which is a member of the Expert Network for Greece, involves the collection, processing, and analysis of relevant data and information, as well as the preparation of thematic reports and evaluation reports for the competent services of the European Commission. Specifically, for the year 2024-2025, two thematic reports are planned, with topics to be defined by the European Commission, along with the annual report on developments in social policy and the social situation in Greece.
