The project consists of three interrelated research studies on social dialogue, work organization and wage policies aiming at business adaptability, increase in productivity and improvement of the quality of the work environment. Additionally the studies rest on field surveys in which EKKE will be involved in order to capture and assess the current situation in the individual sectors as conditioned upon the very recent impact of the financial crisis and the underlying fiscal adjustment. The studies will lead to a set of policy recommendations concerning a) improving the adaptability of enterprises and their employees towards modern patterns of work organization; b) wage policies; and c) developing and promoting social dialogue.
