The aim of this project is to document, measure and assess the public presence of men and women politicians, but also experts and specialist commentators, in Greek media outlets, focusing on TV stations and newspapers. Priority will be given to analysing pre-electoral periods, during which interest around politics, political parties and candidate MPs in particular is heightened, with relevant content featuring prominently both in TV shows as well as in the print and online press. Such a project is highly relevant and timely as 2023 featured three elections (two national, in May and June, and one for local authorities in October) while in June 2024 there will be an election for the European Parliament, which is going to be the main focus of this project.
