Everyday Life and Urbanity. Concepts, definitions and empirical observations in socially sensitive neighborhoods contiguous to large breaks through city tissue.

The  project  explores the evolution of the relationship of "everyday life and urbanity" in the context of the transformations of the public open space in the European urban environment of recent years. The  investigation concerns the  public character related to the activities developed within the public open space impacted by the new tendencies in determining its uses. The project aims as well to develop the research axis related to interdisciplinary issues,  specifically those concerned with  the  social considerations of  urban design, following a series of projects such as RUROS, Use of Natural Spaces in Athens, etc. realised in the framework of the Institute of Social Research.
