SURVEYS HUB
Description
The Surveys Hub is EKKE's comprehensive digital research infrastructure, enabling both EKKE researchers and third parties to conduct telephone, online, and face-to-face quantitative surveys, as well as surveys that use mixed data collection methods via electronic questionnaires. These surveys can be nationwide or local in scope. Specifically, the Surveys Hub provides:
- Appropriate sampling frames for conducting random sampling
- Specialized software for CAI (Computer Assisted Interviewing), such as CAPI (Personal), CATI (Telephone), and CAWI (Web)
- Equipment, including servers, desktop computers, laptops, and tablets
- Maps of the country's building blocks provided by the Hellenic Statistical Authority
- A VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) telephone center, a telephony system that uses the internet for transmitting voice calls instead of traditional telephone lines
- 15 workstations for telephone surveys
- More than 50 workstations for face-to-face surveys
- An online panel for conducting web surveys
- Experienced personnel, including data managers, field supervisors, interviewers, statisticians, and IT specialists
Services
The Surveys Hub provides the following services:
- Conducting surveys using advanced data collection systems via digital and/or paper questionnaires with mixed or single data collection methods
- Implementing random and non-random sampling methods
- Creating digital questionnaires with complex routing rules and personalized questions
- Providing tools for continuous supervision of supervisors' and interviewers' work through various reports
- Providing tools for calculating survey response rates based on international standards and tracking their progress
- Creating necessary weighting variables
- Analyzing data using statistical packages
- Writing reports
- Creating code for replicating statistical analysis and data management (replicas)
- Depositing data into EKKE’s Repository on SoDaNet and assigning a permanent identifier to the survey
- Ensuring the long-term preservation of survey data through EKKE’s Data Repository
