The European Social Policy Analysis Network (ESPAN) is the successor of the European Social Policy Network (ESPN) and aims to provide scientifically grounded analysis of policies and developments in the areas of social protection and inclusion at both the national and European levels. Specifically, the network involves independent expert teams from 38 European countries (27 EU member states, as well as candidate countries and EEA countries), with the ultimate goal of supporting the development of social policy initiatives at the European level and promoting the exchange of knowledge and best practices among EU member states.
In this framework, the research team of EKKE, which is a member of the Expert Network for Greece, is tasked with collecting, processing, and analyzing relevant data and information. They will also prepare a series of thematic reports and evaluation reports for the relevant services of the European Commission. For the period 2023-24, two thematic reports are planned, with the subjects to be determined by the European Commission, as well as the annual Report on developments in social policy and the social situation in Greece.
